Hops & Drops Description:

Gravity got you down? Looking to add some play and liveliness to your riding? Learning to hop your bike in the air at will is a great starting point for a more active riding style. Besides the utility of being able to float over roots, rocks, and holes, hopping and popping around the trail on your bike is just pure fun.

These workshops will teach you the core technique and moves necessary to execute hops (1 wheel, 2 wheels, J-hops etc). Following that foundation, we'll use similar techniques and moves on green through blue drops. Our goal with this workshop is to build your confidence and consistency so that you can play with gravity, and maybe even defy it once and a while!

Intended outcomes:

  1. Safely and consistently execute front/rear wheel lifts, bunny hops, J-hops.
  2. Ride trail features such as green-blue (1-4ft) drops with confidence and control.
  3. Increase your overall range of movement on the bike, giving you more room to play and adapt.
  4. Build the skill foundation necessary for tackling larger trail features in the future (Jumps & larger drops).
  5. Have a blast learning with other riders in a fun and engaging learning environment.

Suitable for novice through intermediate and beyond ability levels. Riders should be comfortable riding both technical and flow blue trails. Confident with your body position, braking, and balance on the bike. It's okay if you're not yet riding drops or hopping over obstacles, we'll teach you how to do that. If you're already riding drops and are able to cleanly hop around on the trail, consider one of our advanced clinics, or attend this one for expert analysis and feedback on your technique.

Jump Better 2.0 Description:

Gravity got you down? Looking to add some play and liveliness to your riding? Learning to pump your bike through rolling terrain is the foundation to flow, and a key ingredient in the jumping recipe. Learning to push and pull your bike underneath of you can unlock all sorts of terrain features, including jumps.

Our aim with this one shot workshop is to teach you how to vary your jumping ability. By either learning how to turn up the amplitude to achieve more pop and height, or by turning it down to stay low and fast by learning to scrub. Jumping becomes an incredible skill out on the trails when you can manage different shapes, sizes, and speeds. Let's teach you how to be a more versatile jumper!

Suitable for intermediate through advanced ability levels who are exploring air time already. Riders should be comfortable riding both technical and flow blue trails. Confident with your body position, braking, and balance on the bike. Riders should be comfortable and consistent on blue level table top jumps, if you are already riding larger black level jumps we can keep refining your technique.
